Maui Shore Diving for Certified Divers
If small groups and a slow easy pace is your thing, Maui shore dives will be perfect for your needs. Dive Maui at depths of no more than 30′ to 40′ these reef dives can last up to an hour. These Maui dive tours give you the opportunity to explore and enjoy the warm tropical waters and marine life found less than 20 yards kick from the shore. West Maui is surrounded by a healthy coral reef that is home to an abundant population of tropical fish, over 24% of which are only found in Hawaii. We often see turtles, octopus, shrimp, eels, sharks, rays, and so much more on our Maui diving adventures.

Our west Maui shore dives have something for everyone. “Big stuff” like turtles, sharks, and rays. “Little stuff” like nudibranchs and shrimp. And “weird” stuff like frogfish and scorpionfish.

What to Expect
Where do we dive?
Kahekili and Black Rock in Kaanapali are our favorite shore sites, and we also dive Mala Pier, Olowalu and Kapalua Bay.
Kaanapali
Kahekili Beach, known to most divers as Airport Beach, and Black Rock sit at the north end of Kaanapali. These are the two sites we dive most often.
Lahaina
Mala Pier, also called Mala Wharf, sits just north of Lahaina town and is one of the best known shore sites on this stretch of coast.
Olowalu
Olowalu lies along the coast south of Lahaina and is known for its turtles.
Kapalua
Kapalua Bay is at the north end of West Maui, past Kaanapali.
How deep are the dives?
Our shore dives stay shallow, at depths of no more than 30 to 40 feet.
How long are the dives?
Dives can last up to 60 minutes.
Is gear included?
Yes. Your dive comes with all gear included. Nitrox is available for $20 extra.
How big are the groups?
Groups stay small. We never put more than 5 divers with a guide, and most groups are smaller than that. Plan on about 2 to 2.5 hours per dive from start to finish.
