Maui Reef Fund
Extended Horizons is an active member and contributer to the Maui Reef Fund. This non-profit agency takes contributions that are distributed to marine conservation groups around Maui. Some of the ways that the money is used are"to raise public awareness about marine restoraton, protection of coastal areas, set up and maintain anchoring and mooring systems, installation of sewer pump out system for boats in the harbors, stop the spread of alien algae that damages coral reefs, and support research and conservation efforts involving marine life." We care about our reefs here in Hawaii and its preservation for the remainder of its life span. If you are interested in contributing to this agency we highly recommend it.
