Dive Guides
Our Dive Guides are some of the best on Maui. Each guide has local and hawaiian knowledge of each dive site. They have a large spectrum of knowledge of the endemic fish and critters as well as the invasive species that enter our waters. Divers aboard Extended Horizons II receive conscientious high quality dive trips. While guiding our dive tours our naturalists point out sea sights large and small which you might otherwise miss. After the dive we elaborate on what was seen so divers can enjoy and benefit by sharing our understanding of reef ecology. Dive sites are chosen from a base of diving knowledge that encompasses more than 60 sites and over a decade of local knowledge about the diving and sea conditions. Lanai has sites which range in character and depth ,from lava tubes and caverns and shipwrecks to Green sea turtle cleaning stations and octopus dens. Depth of sites range from 25' to 95' and... We will accommodate requests! Each diver aboard is considered when we choose dive sites. Our daily dive selection is based on diver's request and weather considerations. On the two dive trips most first dives are to a depth of about 60 '- 70'. With a second dive to a depth of about 50'. We can offer deeper dives to our more experienced divers and we also enjoy many dives in the 25' - 40' range.
